Mature online dating can be a minefield for anyone who is hoping to find love you will have to try and wade through all the lies and deception you will come across. It is like having to kiss a million toads before you actually find someone who is cool and being completely honest with you. You go online in the first place to meet people because you are having a hard time meeting people in your everyday life, the last thing you want is to encounter more problems because a lot of the people you are meeting are not being up front with you. If you hope to find love online as a mature adult your going to have be able to decipher if someone is telling you the truth or not. Here are some reasons people lie online, no matter what age. 

Lying about the past: 

Both men and women will lie about the past because they do not want the other person to think badly about them. Even older people still want to present themselves in a positive light, so they will lie about their past. We all know that if you are an older individual you are probably going to have a few skeletons in your closet that you don’t want anyone to know about, you do not have to be afraid to tell them. You may not want to do it over a computer screen, but if you hope to meet in person it is better you tell the other person about your past and not hold anything back. If you are going to be mature you have to show it be being truthful about your past. 

Hiding your flaws: 

Mature online dating is not exempt from people trying to hide their flaws. People want to show their strengths and hide their weaknesses. Everyone has flaws and you do not need to hide them. I would assume that you are trying to meet someone online who you feel you can have a possible future with. You do not want to have to hide who you really are from them.  

Whatever it is tell them, have a fetish? Tell them. You have a crazy ex wife or husband? Tell the other person. You don’t like to do certain things in bed? Tell them. You have a weird pimple on your body? Tell them. No matter what they flaw is if you can’t tell it to the other person then you are not as mature as you think, despite being older and supposedly wiser.
